To gain an in-depth understanding of and insight into the life of the diabetes patient in the UK encompassing how that relates to their own products/services from a rational and emotional perspective.
Conduct 12 in-home immersions lasting 3-5 hours each, with Type 2 Diabetes patients. All immersions were accompanied by one of the client's personnel.
The current product was seen as being over engineered. Whilst patients were happy with their devices they wanted a disposable meter that was simpler to use with fewer functions.
